The Base, Big Bend, Heritage and Outer Banks have a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that makes 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. The Badlands and Heritage Limited have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 250 hp and 277 lb.-ft. The Badlands and Heritage Limited also have a more advanced 4WD system. A Class Trailer Tow package with trailer sway control is optional beyond the base model. With that upgrade, the Ford Bronco Sport can tow between 2,000 and 2,200 pounds.

An 8-inch infotainment touch screen with app-based remote monitoring and control and Android and Apple integration is standard equipment.
