The Transit Connect is a front-wheel-drive vehicle, and that choice of drive layout makes it easy to maneuver in tight urban environments. The optional powertrain offered last year has been discontinued, so now one powertrain is used across the entire lineup for the 2023 Ford Transit Connect near Quad Cities. It mates a shiftable eight-speed automatic transmission to a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 162 horsepower and 144 pound-feet of torque. The maximum payload capacity of the Transit Connect is 1,570 pounds. A Trailer Tow package is optional, and with that upgrade, your Transit Connect can tow as much as 2,000 pounds.
Ford Transit Connect - Safety
A 4.2-inch multifunction display screen is standard. You can also opt for Sync 3 with a 6.5-inch touch screen with Apple and Android integration and with or without integrated navigation, and a rearview camera system is included in either case. FordPass Connect is standard. It provides you access to connected services and gives you access to subscription-based services. Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking is also standard. Optional and standard with the up-level trim is blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning, lane departure warning with intervention and a wireless charging pad. Adaptive cruise control is optional with both trim levels.
Ford Transit Connect - Mechanical
Our customers have a choice between either a short or long wheelbase. Power windows, power locks and remote keyless entry are all standard equipment with the 2023 Ford Transit Connect. Sixteen-inch steel wheels are standard, and 16-inch aluminum wheels are optional. The XLT adds many of the most popular technologies and amenities, but all of the added standard equipment and options for the XLT are also available with the XL so that you can pick and choose what you want. Trim level is also not the only factor. You can also choose between either the Cargo Van and Passenger Van, and if you choose the Passenger Van, then you have the option of the Titanium trim level, which is more luxury oriented.
2023 Ford Transit Connect Colors
There are five exterior colors available for the Transit Connect direct through the Ford factory and included in the MSRP if you opt for the Cargo Van: Agate Black, Dark Blue, Frozen White, Race Red and Silver. With the Passenger Van, that selection is expanded to include Blue Metallic, Magnetic Metallic and Solar Silver. There are additional options for those commercial clients that want to have their Transit Connect painted with their established brand colors and to feature their logo and other graphics.
